About the MG MG5
The MG5 is a passenger car for the Thai market that is often auctioned in regular used condition. It is suitable for individual buyers looking for a car that saves parking space and those who want to replace a city-use vehicle. Most buyers in the auction market are those who take over work or look for a used car for family use. The model years found in the data range from 2016 to 2025, and the frequently seen trims include 1.5 X SUNROOF, 1.5 D+, and 1.5 D CVT.
Before bidding, inspect the condition thoroughly, including the grade and inspection report, registration/transfer documents, body condition and any accidents, drivetrain and electrical system condition, as well as tires and interior, which often show wear from use. Estimate repair costs and compare them with the starting price. The starting price range in the last 12 months has been between 8,000 and 370,000 baht, with a median starting price of 166,000 baht. When a sale price is specified, compare the median sale price with the median starting price to assess the suitability of the auction (they are usually close).
